ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ Stretch Reconciliation Action Plan

ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ Pacific's Stretch Reconciliation Action Plan 2024 ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ-2027 demonstrates our ongoing commitment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.

ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ Reconciliation Action Plan

Since 2015, our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) has provided the framework for ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ' key engagement and reconciliation efforts, aimed at supporting national reconciliation and narrowing the gap for Indigenous Australians. Developed in partnership with Reconciliation Australia, it focuses on fostering connections with community and culture, nurturing business partnerships and cultural safety, and building workplace capability.

Our RAP aligns with ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ' broader Inclusion and Diversity Strategy to guide how we improve employment outcomes through Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander recruitment, retention, and professional development. It also establishes clear business objectives and performance metrics to ensure a sustained commitment to local industry and advancing Australia¡¯s First Peoples.

To fulfil these commitments, we collaborate with partner organisations and individuals to:

  • develop and embed culturally appropriate policies and protocols
  • implement socially sustainable employment and training programs
  • drive meaningful community engagement initiatives
  • foster Indigenous procurement partnerships.

Belonging by Stephen Hogarth

'Belonging'

This artwork by First Nations artist and descendant of the Gamilaroi Nation, Stephen Hogarth, supports the work of our Diversity and Inclusion Strategy. It visually represents what we strive for as an organisation ¨C to be a Company of Belonging.

Indigenous employment

Across Australia, we aim to attract, recruit, support, engage and retain First Nations Placemakers. We offer meaningful employment and development opportunities informed by Indigenous stakeholders and industry partners.

In 2023, we focused on building our First Nations Employee Network to deliver cultural awareness training to our leaders and to provide cultural mentoring for our First Nations employees. Three of whom are members of our RAP committee.

We work hard to engage Indigenous trainees in our Global Management Trainee Program and First Nations liaison officers at some of our sites.
